MCS (Mainland Christian School)

Mainland Christian School offers an outstanding group of certified Christian teachers who have many years of experience, providing your Pre-K4 to 3rd grade child outstanding opportunities to learn. The education is based on the ABEKA curriculum. MCS is a member of ACSI.

At MCS, students get more of a personal attention from the teachers because of the smaller class sizes, up to 15 kids per class compared to 30+ kids at public schools.

This year, MCS has been blessed by God to have the opportunity to return to having classroooms by grade level of our students. In the past year, the impact of charter schools has impacted MCS, but it never affected the quality of your children's education.

MCS accepts NO funding money from the State of Texas, so your child is taught a Bible-based education, free of the restrictions to teach Evolution and other non-Biblical ideas, etc. We encourage prayer in school and at home.

"I reside in Texas City. I am the hired receptionist at MCS. I was retired after 22 years in the Oil Field Business, and recently decided to go back to work. I have been married for 39 yrs. I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. My oldest grandson was a student at MCS for 5 years. MCS is very dear to me and my family. I am blessed and I look forward to working with your children."

"My Name is William Melvin Letroise Jr. I am eighteen years old and I am a 2008 graduate of LaMarque High School. At LaMarque High, I was President of my Art class, Vice President of the National Art Honor Society, and co-captain of the Cougar Guard. I was involved in school activities such as Student Council, Varsity mixed Choir, and the Student Advisory Board. I have been awarded numerous awards ranging from Student of the Month to First place UIL Solo Regional. I am currently in school continuing my education towards a major in Computer Engineering Technology. I am the new school-age teacher here at MCS and I look forward to a great year with you and your child."
